Biography
Hello, I am Byebyefish, a French artist from Garches near Paris.
I explore two main musical styles: Neoclassical Piano and Indie Rock.
2000's
In the early 2000’s I started to compose piano short pieces inspired by classical masters such as Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel or Erik Satie and by musicians like Yann Tiersen. Some other piano-vocal songs followed from 2007. Then I recorded a lullabies album dedicated to my newborn daughter Lucie in 2011, trying to reach melodic, blissful, and streamlined piano pieces.
2013-2017
I was a member of Tiret Project (French/Australian Indie Rock, 2013-2015) and Emo Echo (French Indie Pop, 2015-2017). These two bands were a good opportunity to experience new keyboard sounds or effects.
2018-2020
Shortly after, I started composing Indie Folk guitar songs writing and singing most of lyrics in French, releasing LP album about ‘De pénombres en lumières’ in January 2020.
2021-2022
Since 2021, I have released several new neoclassical solo piano singles. The pieces combine melancholic, relaxing and romantic moods, with deeply expressive composition and playing.
2023
Byebyefish music has reached +1M Streams on Spotify, including +225K streams for A Fresh Start. 4 songs have been played on BBC Introducing in 2023. Snowflakes Are Dancing (2022) was at 1st position on UK neoclassical One World Music Radio January 2023 chart. 'Workers Pace' and 'Running Streams' are featured in 2 Pandora editorial playlists. 6 tracks are on rotation on US piano Whisperings Radio since February 2023.
